We are the organiser of two successful and growing financial Investment conferences, one in London and one in New York together with the production of a quarterly publication.The London conference is now in its ninth year and is the largest gathering of Value Investors in Europe, with high profile speakers and a global reach. Building on the success of the inaugural New York conference last year, we are hosting the event again in December 2019 in Manhattan.
To facilitate this growth, the manager is seeking a commercially minded and entrepreneurial assistant to provide effective support and take responsibility for the following areas:
The ideal candidate will be based close to St Albans, willing to be onsite at the London conferences in 2020 to manage registration (preferably also New York in December 2019, although this is not a requirement). This is a new role and a great opportunity to join a business with potential for future development, extra hours, training where needed and an opportunity to work independently once a task is assigned – although help and support will be given wherever needed.
The ideal candidate would either have experience in a number of the key essential skills below but be willing to take on a range of tasks, or a young and energetic self-starter wanting to take on new skills in the areas below.
Essential Skills and qualities:
This part-time role is being offered on an hourly basis, with negotiable hours (minimum 20 hours per week) and it can be freelance or PAYE. Occasional unpaid leave is also available subject to negotiation.
