Curriculum Specialist – IT
Salary: £32,000 – £35,000 per annum + travel expenses, pro rata
Home based with national travel
Part-time: 15 hours/2 days per week

They are specialists who work with other organisations to provide skills training and coaching to their staff through an apprenticeship pathway.
They are currently seeking a Sector Specialist in IT to join their team to provide sector expertise and support of delivery. This role reports to their Sector Lead for Professional Services and is a group wide role working closely with Quality, Operations, and Sales.
You will be responsible for supporting the Sector Lead in the overall product and curriculum development, quality of delivery, quality monitoring and assurance and the training and ongoing monitoring and the overall success of the sector’s suite of apprenticeship programmes within their remit. You will also be required to support the Sector Lead with the growth and development of sector apprenticeship Standards.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for designing, developing and delivering high quality, inspirational training programmes and support every learner to succeed. Excellent planning, organisation and presentation skills, along with the ability to prioritise effectively based in a demanding, fast paced environment.
You will require extensive knowledge, competency and exposure in the following sectors and/or related industries;
This is a national role and will require extensive travel.
Support end-to-end support in the curriculum design, quality assurance, programme design, the review of teaching and learning and monitoring of apprenticeship programmes
Design and develop high quality, stimulating learning programmes to extend apprentices’ knowledge, skills and behaviours to benefit their future career paths and to impact positively on employer objectives
Work closely with quality, operations, sales teams and employers to develop curriculum to ensure programmes meet or exceeds learner and employer expectations by providing a professional and quality curriculum and robust quality assurance and improvement processes
Develop clear journey maps and delivery models, created to identify progress milestones and EPA requirements for all learners
Skills and Experience
Either hold or working towards a recognised teaching, assessing or quality assurance qualification
Hold sector specific qualifications or have equivalent proven track record of sector specific experience
Excellent understanding of the Apprenticeship Levy and the requirements of Apprenticeship Standards
Good quality assurance experience
Proven experience of successful curriculum and course content development
Excellent understanding of Ofsted requirements and the current Apprenticeship provision
Good working knowledge of all Microsoft packages and technology conducive to building programmes
Solid experienced of teaching, learning and delivering training sessions within the FE or ITP sector
Experience in the evaluation of teaching and learning standards through the application of observation processes
Up-to-date Functional Skills knowledge
Experience of supporting staff development
Excellent problem-solving skills
Full, clean UK driving licence
Maths or English subject specialism
Experience of working with government funding and referral partners
Experience of OFSTED inspections
Salary: £32,000 – £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience), pro rata
This is a part-time role: 15 hours/2 days per week.
