This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to come on board to join this multi-agency department. As Floating Support Worker you will provide housing related support to vulnerable people in the community across all tenures; helping them to achieve independence in their daily lives and to sustain their tenancies. You will also offer resettlement support to tenants moving into different types of tenure across the Borough of Camden and in other London Boroughs.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to manage your own caseload of customers; planning support visits and conducting assessments with referrals. In addition you will be responsible for creating an agreed support plan and risk assessment for each customer, which reflects SMART objective, leading to the customers’ independence.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS .
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience experience in a similar role of working with vulnerable homeless individuals alongside extensive experience of working with adults who have difficulty living independently. The successful candidate will possess a high level of integrity and be committed to working in social care. Furthermore, you will bring an in-depth knowledge of measuring the needs of a customer, which could include low level mental health, substance misuse and poor independent living skills. You will use your outstanding interpersonal skills, accountability and excellent time management skills combined with a proactive approach to supporting people.
