Free Tibet is seeking an energetic fundraiser to join our London team. We are in the second year of a three-year strategy and are looking for someone to take on and improve established fundraising streams.
The successful applicant will project manage their own fundraising projects and have oversight of the Free Tibet online shop. They will also assist the Fundraising Manager and others with supporter care and communications as well as manage the fundraising team’s volunteers.
This would be the perfect role for an assistant-level fundraiser seeking more autonomy to manage their own projects, hold budgetary responsibility, and gain an insight into line-management. Full training will be provided, so the role would also suit anyone hoping to start a career in fundraising or the third sector.
This is currently a full-time post (35 hours per week). However, Free Tibet strives to be a flexible employer and we would also welcome applicants looking to work part-time at a minimum of 80% (28 hours per week).
Experience of working in an office environment performing a range of duties;
Experience of at least one of the following: fundraising, supporter care, communications, project management, online retail.
Ability to interpret data, for the purpose of drafting reports to monitor fundraising activities;
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write clear and persuasive copy and to communicate effectively over the telephone with supporters;
Ability to work with little supervision, to take initiative and to manage competing deadlines;
Experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook;
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail;
Flexible and adaptable approach to work and the ability to work as part of a team;
