Article 39 works with others to fight for children’s legal and human rights in institutional settings. We are a small charity which focuses on impact and putting children and young people first. Always.
As Head of Policy and Advocacy, you will lead our work around promoting and protecting children’s rights in mental health hospitals (NHS and privately-run). At the heart of this will be a pioneering project to support children and young people to be heard and to improve the support they receive from independent mental health advocates.
Working within a small team, you will combine strategic planning and leadership with skilled, energetic campaigning while helping to steer our young charity through its next exciting phase.
If you are passionate about the rights of children and young people, and have a great track record in bringing about positive change with and for children and young people, we would love to hear from you.
This is a temporary post and part-time (21 hours a week); its continuation after 12 months will depend on the impact you have and our successful fundraising.
We are committed to equality and value diversity. Disabled applicants who meet our person specification are guaranteed an interview. We support family-friendly working.
