The HR Administrator Opportunity:
The HR team are responsible for providing an effective end to end service throughout all stages of the employment life cycle. We are now recruiting for an HR Administrator to join our small and busy team based in West Sussex to provide administrative support to the HR team. You will be responsible for providing an efficient HR administrative service to our internal customers, which will include recruitment, induction/on-boarding, probation, maternity/paternity, benefits and leaver administration.
Reporting to the Head of HR, this is an ideal role for someone with previous HR administration experience who is process-driven with a strong eye for detail who is looking for their next opportunity in a fast paced but friendly environment.
HR Administrator Key Responsibilities:
+ Managing all stages of the recruitment process including drafting and placing internal/external adverts; liaising with recruitment agencies; administering recruitment campaigns all whilst ensuring that the HR department complies with best practice and compliance including DBS/security vetting checks and Right to Work verification.
+ Managing all stages of the new starter / on boarding and probation processes including;- all new start documentation including pre-employment checks; conducting first day induction and administering the probation process – all within a timely manner to ensure that the new joiner is given a well-planned and meaningful on-boarding experience.
+ Maternity administration including conducting meetings, organising risk assessments, calculating part-time leave allowances and ensuring that correspondence is sent in a timely manner.
+ General administration tasks including managing the HR/Careers inboxes; responding to reference requests; leaver administration, benefit administration, assisting with tender responses; ensuring electronic and paper-based employee files are securely maintained and any other ad-hoc duties as and when required.
Skills & Experience:
+ must have previous HR administration experience, preferably gained within a fast-paced environment;
+ must have working knowledge of HR administration systems (preferably SageHR);
+ strong administration skills with an advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word / Excel & Powerpoint;
+ accuracy and attention to detail is absolutely essential in this role;
+ excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
+ must possess the highest level of professionalism, integrity and confidentially;
+ structured and methodical in approach, with an appreciation for processes;
+ proactive and flexible with a “can do” attitude;
+ Must possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills;
+ a natural flair for delivering high levels of customer service;
+ team player – understands the importance of collaborative working;
+ Working towards a CIPD qualification is desirable but not essential (support offered).
Based from our Headquarters at Wisborough Green (Guildford 30 minutes, Horsham 20 minutes). Access to own transport is essential due to our location. Some travel to other office locations may also be required.
9.00am to 5.30pm / Monday to Friday. (37.5hrs per week)
