Our client is a fast-developing, specialist FS business, set-up with a clear business plan to address identified needs in specific banking markets. With an experienced board and senior team in place, the business is now in the process of executing the business plan and developing suitable internal financial systems and processes as part of the planning and preparation for market launch into their chosen market sectors.
A high calibre Interim Company Secretary is immediately required for a medium-long-term contract, possibly up to eo 2020. It is envisaged that the part-time role will average 2 days per week, though this may vary (by agreement). The client is Newcastle-based however, board and various exec meetings are held in London, where they also have an office so there is some flexibility around location (and home working etc). FCA/PRA regulatory experience would be advantageous but not essential. Key duties are related to closely supporting the CFO by taking care of Co Sec duties (Board Meetings / Minutes + Sub-Meetings as well as Shareholding related duties).
You will be an experienced and suitably qualified Company Secretary with relevant experience, ideally within Banking/FS or a similarly regulated sector. You will be able to offer regular support (primarily around monthly board meeting preparation, attendance and minute writing + sub-committees) and flexible support for other duties (eg shareholding related) and other project work as agreed with the CFO. You may be located near London or in the NE (or possibly conveniently between and comfortable with travel as required for board and other meetings).
