Information about the school
Rolvenden Primary is a small rural school comprising of 4 mixed age classes; which both nurture and foster independence and confidence. We currently have 105 pupils on roll serving the children of the village and beyond.
Our teachers are creative, enthusiastic and our children love to learn. The school has been in the village since 1837 and has classrooms in the original Victorian building, as well as a mobile classroom and library.
Rolvenden Primary is nestled within the picturesque village, our school benefits from amazing facilities including an enormous school field and an outdoor swimming pool.
We are well resourced for both curricular and extra curricular activities. Every class has the support of a teaching assistant for the benefit of our children and teachers.
As a school we are part of the Tenterden Rural Alliance, TRA. This is a group of schools that work closely together in order to raise standards across the local area and provide support to each other.
We endeavour to enjoy our rural links, by using the environment to support many of our studies and go on whole school Welly Walks where other family members are invited to join us!
We are proud of the many opportunities that our school can offer and are renowned for our creative family events such as Woodland Day and Winter Wonderland.
Our children love taking part in our whole school productions – whether at school, in the Church, on our field or at the National Trust Theatre at Smallhythe Place.
Rolvenden Primary is a thriving, vibrant place to be, with a friendly enthusiastic staff, supportive parents and Governors.
Our School and all its personnel are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children. This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
