Nursery Area Manager, Hull, circa £35K dependent on experience (pro-rata for part-time)

We are a small group of nurseries across Hull and Beverley and we’re looking for a part time Nursery Area Manager to assist our Branch Nursery Managers in offering a wide range of activities and learning experience to develop young minds.

Within this role, you will be responsible for line-managing 3 Nursery Managers in Beverley and Hull and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. A stated goal will be to help each branch achieve “Outstanding” at Ofsted Inspection, conducting mock inspections and setting and monitoring actions to ensure that our nurseries deliver the highest possible standards for the children entrusted to our care. There is an important commercial element too, but we believe outstanding results are a necessary ingredient of commercial success, and one does not come without the other.

To be of interest for this role you will:

Have a significant career background in pre-school learning, with 2+ years at Nursery Branch Manager level with full P&L responsibility, budgetary and team management

• Have a thorough and practical understanding of the statutory framework in which we operate
• Have a track record of improving performance to achieve excellent Ofsted assessments in a relevant environment
• Have a driving license and access to a car (a branches are a little way apart)
• Be willing to cover for Branch Manager holidays from time to time
• Be an excellent communicator, both orally and in writing
• Have a forensic attention to detail
• Be a deliverer through excellent people management skills
• Have an excellent standard of education and relevant qualifications.
• (Obviously….) have a clear advanced DBS report.

This is a part time role and may appeal to suitably qualified individuals searching for a job that provides a balance between professional and personal life priorities – our client is also willing to consider term time working. We anticipate that this role will be at least 50% time however, and we would prefer regular shorter days as opposed to fewer long days.
