This is a senior role in the People team at the National Trust. You will work in the North region, reporting to the Head of People Business Partners and operate at a strategic level with clients. You will need to be pragmatic and grounded; confident in working in a complex environment, supporting the People agenda to deliver our strategy. You will act as a competent coach, bringing perspective, expertise and credibility.
This is a part-time role (over 3 core working days) and some flexibility will be needed across the working week in order to attend local and national meetings, as appropriate.
Please note: This role may be based at any of our regional hubs at Newcastle, York, Altrincham, Manchester or Grasmere, with regular travel in the region and some national travel.

What you’ll be doing
You will be working with a range of leaders across the region, including members of the Regional Management Team, so you will need to build open, trusting relationships. You will support regional level governance boards and working groups, acting as a champion for the Trust’s People Strategy and our local People Plans. You will work collaboratively with colleagues within HR Shared Services, including our subject experts, to provide seamless solutions. You will use your experience, probably gained in a large and complex organisation, to ensure plans are sustainable and will ultimately deliver organisational benefits and results. Above all, we want you to develop a culture in which our leaders are empowered, with the confidence and skills they need to lead their people.
Frequent travel to our beautiful places and regional hubs (Newcastle, York, Altrincham, Manchester and Grasmere) means a current driving licence and willingness to travel are essential.
