About the role:
As Product Manager you will take responsibility for defining the why, when, and what of the product that the development team builds by using your knowledge of user needs and business goals to frame problems and set priorities for your delivery teams. You will form the vision for your product and engage your teams and keep people informed about the development of their products and promoting their uptake. You will represent users throughout the delivery process as well as using their feedback to inform continuous improvement.
We are looking for effective, self-motivated individuals with proven practitioner level of using Agile and Lean practices. To be successful in this role you will have experience of making user driven changes to an existing product or service. You can challenge constructively and influence senior colleagues in order to change practice, policy or legislation to enable delivery. You have a good understanding of product management principles and developing a roadmap. The ability to see and communicate strategic visions and goals to a wide range of stakeholders is essential.
Regular travel and overnight stays are a feature of this role and should be taken into consideration when applying.
The Digital, Data and Technology Directorate is the in-house IT division for HMLR. We are currently recruiting several roles to ensure the directorate’s teams contain the right blend of skills, experience and knowledge to take our major transformation programme forward. These teams are at the heart of the move to a digital, data-driven organisation with the ambition to provide our customers with cutting-edge digital services.
