Senior Sourcing Manager

We’re looking for an individual with a strong consultancy background to join our internal business process outsourcing (BPO) team supporting Zurich’s businesses and functions worldwide. We’re keen that you have some experience in architecting services because at Zurich, when we source business services, defining what we buy and what transformation looks like is the primary skill – not just the buying process or commodity. In particular, you’ll be familiar with the development and execution of sourcing strategies, including supplier evaluation, negotiations, contracting and deal implementation – so what does that mean? Simply put: consulting experience in the improvement of business processes. You’ll have a strong consultancy background and be well versed in architecting the right solutions for your clients, using robotics and analytics to ensure you re-engineer their problems and create innovative, bespoke solutions.
Using your knowledge of the sourcing lifecycle, you will play a lead role in delivering Zurich’s business goals for outsourcing engagements to support core insurance processes. Working with our businesses and functions, you will be responsible for helping our businesses define their needs, bringing a thorough understanding of the capabilities of potential suppliers , building sourcing strategies and business cases, development and execution of request for proposals (or similar), due diligence activities, proposal evaluation against business requirements, drafting and negotiating contracts and the implementation of sourcing deals.
You will also work with Zurich businesses to help them drive additional value from existing deals. You will benefit from exposure to business-facing projects early on and gain experiences to help develop your technical and consulting skills. You’ll also broaden your skill sets and develop quickly, working on complex, transformational projects across a range of businesses.
This role is available full-time, as a job-share, or part-time. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full-time.
