My client, a boutique security consultancy, is seeking a hands on incident response specialist to join their growing IR function.
This role is unique, in offering the opportunity to help build an IR capability, whilst offering the support and budget to do this without challenge. The role will be varied, and begin mostly with incident response projects, before developing and growing into a more proactive role, giving the successful candidate the chance to ensure that their work is varied. You will get involved in large scale incidents, including ransomware and BEC, alongside threat hunting, malware analysis and engineering. You will also have the chance to get involved in creating play/runbooks and conducting tabletop exercises.
In order to be successful in your application, hands on incident response skills are of the utmost importance. You must have exposure of dealing with varied incidents as well as the ability to communicate with senior audiences across their client base. The ability to conduct forensics, to investigate incidents alongside threat hunting is also needed. Certifications such as GCIH are also preferred.
