Description

The Head of Commercial will be responsible for:

• Set up and manage the commercial team within the Logistics Department
• Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance profitability and efficiency
• Conduct contract negotiations with key stakeholders
• Generate and win new business, primarily within eccommerce
• Oversee all commercial activities and ensure they align with the company strategy
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the market
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
• Manage budgets and financial planning within the department
• Maintain positive relationships with partners and clients

Profile

A successful Head of Commercial should have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field
• Proven experience in a senior commercial role within the Transport & Distribution industry
• Confident in generating new business
• Creating and delivering commercial packages for prospect customers
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills
• Strong financial and budgeting skills
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• A deep understanding of the logistics sector and market trends
• Eccomerce and fulfilment is highly advantageous
• National role requiring travel so it will be beneficial to be based in the East / West Midlands
• Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain experience

Job Offer

• A competitive salary of around £80,000 per annum
• A car allowance worth £6,000
• 25 days of annual leave
