We have a fantastic opportunity for a Head of Social Business to join our Social Business team. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis in return for a competitive salary of £63,615 per annum working 35 hours per week. This post sits on our Executive Board.

As Head of Social Business, you will lead the team who deliver this social change.

The successful applicant will be required to build strong relationships with a range of partners to build a collective approach to tackling local issues. This will include exploring opportunities for organic growth that builds on BCHG s existing core strengths. Sourcing external funding is a key element to the role and you will have experience in preparing successful bids. This is an exciting role to use your skills, knowledge and professional experience to make a difference to people s lives in our local communities.

The post holder must be highly self-motivated and driven. You will be required to hold strong leadership skills with the ability to engage and motivate individuals at all levels within a flexible and mobile workforce.

Specific tasks of the role include, but are not limited to:

• Be a positive and visible role model, demonstrating highest quality leadership and management throughout the organisation.
• Work collaboratively with Executive Board in supporting delivery of the Strategic Plan.
• Be a brand ambassador for BCHG, promoting BCHG externally and representing us locally with a range of stakeholders.
• To lead on the delivery of contracts, achieving performance outcomes against business plan targets
• Produce and present bids and business proposals to local authorities, government departments, health commissioners and other agencies linked to the Social Business Core Purpose.
• Maintain market awareness, actively promoting BCHG s services and identifying and delivering areas of growth, including new service opportunities and service models, partnership opportunities, and service and geographical growth opportunities.
• To keep abreast of new areas of policy and development, particularly in the areas of health, social enterprise, and digital & financial inclusion.
• To control approved budgets effectively, ensuring an effective and fully funded resource plan, and ensuring income targets are achieved and expenditure is contained within the approved level.

Skills and Experience required:

• Excellent knowledge of community regeneration and the needs of communities in the Black Country and Birmingham.
• Proven experience of developing partnerships with local stakeholders.
• Experience of successful funding bids.

The post holder will be subject to a standard DBS check and a six month probation period
