Job Description

• Provide strategic legal advice to the NHS Trust.
• Manage a team within the legal department.
• Handle complex legal matters, including disputes and litigation.
• Ensure compliance with all public sector and government regulations.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
• Represent the Trust in negotiations and discussions with external parties.
• Oversee the Trust’s risk management processes.
• Coordinate and manage external legal resources as required.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Deputy General Counsel NHS Trust should have:

• A solicitor able to practice in England and Wales.
• Experience in the public sector and government industry, particularly in healthcare.
• Proven team leadership skills.
• Strong knowledge of public sector regulations and compliance.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Demonstrable experience handling complex legal matters.
