About Our Client

A regional law firm based in Bourne End, Buckinghamshire with an alternative business structure.

Job Description

Key responsibilities will include:

• Responsible for managing and implementing the firm’s risk strategy.
• Managing the firms complaints and claims, PI insurance renewals, regulatory compliance.
• Ensure the Firm’s governance is fit for purpose with regards to internal and external frameworks.
• Conducting file reviews and audits.
• Acting as the main point of contact for the Firm and regulatory bodies such as the SRA and FCA.
• Providing legal advice across the board on a range of commercial and regulatory issues
• Advising the rest of the team on regulatory change, updating policy as required.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Must be a qualified solicitor in England and Wales with a current practising certificate.
• Must be approved by the SRA to hold the role of COLP.
• Strong knowledge and experience of SRA and AML regulations.
• Ability to adopt a risk-based approach, ensuring the firm remains compliant with applicable regulations.
• Ideally some experience in a property law environment.
