The Transfer Agency Global Head of technology is a critical role within the Global Funds Services technology organization. The successful applicant will lead the transformation of the technology stack to a more data centric cloud based solution which is focused around distributed ledger technology.
You will provide the leadership, direction and guidance for a global team of talented technologists who are proven in strategy, delivery and flawless execution.
You will be operating alongside co-equal partners in operations and the business to bring together a new approach to Transfer Agency technology, to radically disrupt our current ways of thinking and working. The talented team working alongside and with you will ensure you have all that you need to make this a success.
As a senior member of the Global Funds Services Technology team, you will be able to contribute to the broader direction of our franchise and bring to bear your knowledge, skill and experience across a broad range of products. Responsibilities:
Manage/develop multiple a large global team of technology professionals to accomplish established goals.
Drive vision and strategy across the Transfer Agency technology stack to drive business growth partnering with the business to define long term roadmaps
Understand new and emerging technology trends and how these trends can be applied to the Transfer Agency product offering
Manage key vendor relationships for product strategy and, issues, and commercials
Drive team productivity and efficiencies around roles and responsibilities, efficient use of resource, metrics and alignment to business structures
Prepare and present regular team/project reviews to senior management and business leaders
Drive the design and development of system architecture, work with end-users of the systems, and enhance the quality of deliverables
Understand Voice of Client through customer meetings and feedback
Monitor and manage approach/end results, budgeting, planning, policy formation, and contribute to future strategy of the area(s)
Ensure change is managed with appropriate controls, documentation, and approvals including implementation of new and revised regulatory reporting requirements
Research and resolve technology issues, provide recommendations, and escalate to senior management as needed
Manage and maintain all disaster recovery plans, oversee appropriate testing, and provide permit-to-operate for new applications
Lead and deliver local staff forums, present global, regional, and location news and updates to engage team in the progress of organization
Contribute to defining and implementing best practices and processes for the department and ensure transparency and consistency across teams
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
Strong technology background leading global teams
Relevant experience in a similar role including senior management experience within Asset Management or Asset Servicing
Experience in the Transfer Agency technology space preferred
Knowledge of financial products
Client facing experience and good communication skills preferred but not required
Working knowledge of the industry and competitors’ products and services
Advanced knowledge of strategic direction of the function within relevant part of the business
Experience giving executive level presentations
Strong risk and control mindset
Proficient computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Office applications
Demonstrated leadership, management, and development skills
Education:
Bachelor’s degree/University degree OR equivalent experience
Master’s degree preferred but not essential
