We are hiring for an Accounts Assistant to join our Group transactional finance team, which has responsibility for maintaining the purchase ledger, sales ledger, cash book, banking arrangements and payroll.
Main role and responsibilities
Purchase ledger:
Ensuring that we run an efficient and effective purchase process ensuring that Group purchases are appropriately approved in a timely manner and suppliers are paid on time.
Assist in maintaining the shared purchase invoice inbox, and effectively dealing with both supplier and colleague queries to ensure a smooth process and maintain good working relationships.
Matching invoices to approved purchase orders which have been receipted on our system.
Assist with weekly payment runs.
Other duties may include:
Generate and send customer invoices.
Take payments from customers over the phone.
Post financial transactions from the bank and credit card statements into the accounting system in a timely and accurate manner into multiple companies.
Assist with the Group’s bank reconciliations.
Perform various analyses and reconciliations of company data.
Process system generated interface files
Assist with any other duties required to be undertaken by the Transactional Finance team and as directed by the Transactional Finance Manager.
This role would suit someone who has experience in using computerised banking systems and is used to working to strict accounting deadlines.
