Work base: Church House, 90 Deansgate, Manchester M3 2GH until late 2022 with an anticipated move to St John’s House in Bury BL9 0QU in 2023

We are seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant to support the efficient running of the Gift Aid team. This will involve maintaining the Gift Aid Lite scheme’s records and ensuring they are kept up to date in a timely and accurate manner through the use of an online donations system; correct filing of parish giving records; and issuing remittances to churches once their claims have been submitted to HMRC.

Some key tasks for the post holder will relate to data management, maintaining Gift Aid records and online user information. You will also handle calls and emails from parishes. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and numeracy skills with good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, and have the ability to learn the online Gift Aid system quickly. We welcome applicants who either wish to work 2 full days or who may wish to work flexible hours over the week to fulfil the 14 hours required. We are looking for someone who is able to commence in late May.

Although experience of working within the Church of England is not required, the post holder should be sympathetic to the aims and values of the Church.
