A national company and established in 1944, our client supplies and installs a variety of white goods equipment to some of the major housebuilders across the country.
Specific Duties:- Collection and loading of appliances on vehicles from local depot- Driving to new build properties around the UK.- Loading out appliances into houses and apartment blocks with the use of battery powered stair climber, or use of site hoist/lift if available.- Unpacking and installing appliances, including levelling and securing in place (e.g. Ovens, hobs, chimney hoods, dishwashers etc)- Connecting appliances to existing water/waste connection points.- Connection via plug tops to appliances under 3kw power rating unless MI’s state differently.- Connecting cable/flex to appliances in excess of 3kw and connecting to existing electrical outlet hard wire points.- Use of hand tools to cut openings to facilitate fitting of gas & electric hobs.- Cutting/trimming plinths and shelves, holes for routing pipes/cables.- Ensure site is presented clean and tidy upon completion.- Completion of paperwork for sign off by site management- Continually ensuring health and safety policies are adhered to- Resolve customer issues which may be experienced during a fit both pro-actively & re-actively in a timely manner
Key Skills:
– Experience working in the new home building sector- Full UK driving license- Able to converse with customers, site teams and internal installation teams- Right First Time and continuous improvement- Experience working within a regulated environment- Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures- Experience of using hand tools (drill/jigsaw)- CSCS Card- SSSTS Card- Gas safe registered (CCN1 and CKR1)- Carpentry and Electrical knowledge.
