Part-time Bereavement Support Practitioner – Child Death Review Liaison
Hours: 22.5 hours per week, Initial fixed term contract to 31 st March 2023 and subject to continued funding
Salary: £26,000 per annum (pro-rata)
Base: The Royal Hospital for Children – Glasgow
Reporting: NHS Bereavement Service Team Lead

Since 2017, this bereavement charity has been commissioned by NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde with funding from Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity, to provide bereavement support for parents and families bereaved of a baby or child, and training and support for hospital staff.
The charity is looking to recruit a part-time Bereavement Support Practitioner to join this established service. The role will also include focus on liaison in response to the newly implemented Child Death Review Protocol.
The post will be based at The Royal Hospital for Children but some travel across Greater Glasgow and Clyde health board will be required.
The post will be for a fixed term until 31 March 2023 and is thereafter subject to continued funding.
Applicants should have a recognised, health, social care, or counselling qualification, experience in working with parents, children and families, excellent communication skills and be passionate about supporting bereaved families and those whose roles bring them into contact with these families.
