Are you an experienced bookkeeper with a passion for construction?
I am working with a small construction company based in Kingston, looking for a bookkeeper/office manager to join their team. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting and administrative functions of our business, including:
- Processing invoices, payments, and expenses
- Preparing financial reports and statements
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
- Handling payroll, tax, and VAT
- Liaising with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Ordering office supplies and equipment
- Managing staff schedules
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in the construction industry
- A qualification in accounting, finance, or related field
- Proficiency in Sage 50 and Excel, and other accounting software
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A positive and proactive attitude
