As a Buyer, you will play a key role in the procurement process, ensuring the timely and efficient supply of goods and services. This is a permanent position within a fast-paced and dynamic environment, where adaptability and initiative are highly valued.

In this role, your main responsibilities will include:
– Processing purchase orders and communicating engineering specifications or issues to ensure accuracy and authorisation.
– Generating work orders to define manufacturing and inspection processes for components.
– Resolving non-conformances promptly to minimise manufacturing delays.
– Negotiating commercial aspects of supplier quotes and maintaining accurate records.
– Checking supplier acknowledgements and addressing any discrepancies.
– Coordinating invoice and accounts queries related to purchase orders.
– Expediting and tracking deliveries from suppliers to ensure timely reporting.
– Communicating with customers to provide updates on outsourced parts progress.
– Managing supply base performance through the monitoring of KPIs.
– Conducting supplier audits.
– Completing commercial checks of supplier payment terms, delivery terms, and terms & conditions.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:
– At least 3 years of previous procurement experience within a fast-changing engineering or manufacturing environment.
– Knowledge of Automotive, or Motorsports procurement is desirable.
– Procurement experience in Mechanical Part manufacture is a requirement.
– Strong problem-solving and team-working skills, with the ability to work independently.
– A positive attitude and willingness to assist in various departmental tasks.
– Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
