Hello,
My client based in Stansted is currently in need of a CAD/CAM Manager.
Job Purpose:
To manage the smooth running of the department and allocate resources in order to meet requirements to produce 3 and 5 axis programs for 2D and 3D models in a timely manner.
Main Responsibilities and Duties:
- Determine direct staff requirements
- Develop staff to maximize potential
- Monitor staff performance including performance reviews if targets aren t met
- Plan and implement procedures and systems to maximize operating efficiency
- Plan work flow in order to meet customer requirements and maximise output
- Produce 3 and 5 axis CNC programs with supporting documentation from both 2D drawings and 3D models
- Produce 3D model data from 2D drawings where model data is required but not available from the customer
- Plan and program machining methods for components
- Communicate with shop floor staff, management and customers to resolve engineering problems
- Assist with questions from shop floor staff and support ongoing live work
- Adhere to health and safety requirements
- Comply with quality and regulatory standards
- Perform any other duties within your capabilities as directed by the Company
Experience:
- Previous experience at a supervisor/team leader level
- Proven experience of Hypermill and Vericut
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Good communication skills
- Ability to problem-solve
The salary for this role is £65k – £70k depending on experience.
