Children’s Support Worker – Wrexham – Temporary long-term
Your new company
Hays are partnering with an independent specialist day college, providing support and care for young people aged 16 to 25 years with Asperger syndrome, an autistic spectrum disorder and associated conditions. This college provides a safe and supportive learning environment where our young people can explore their own experience of Asperger syndrome and develop strategies for managing their condition as part of their lives. We wish to enable young people to develop the confidence and skills they need for the next stage of their journey. With a dedicated team of staff, we aim to provide every young person with an individually tailored programme of education, care, work experience, leisure and life skills and training within the community to enable them to live as independently as possible and make their own life choices.
Your new role
Working within a supportive, therapeutic environment you will be part of a team who are like-minded and dedicated to caring for our children and young people with compassion and a commitment to creating positive relationships.
Working term-time only Monday-Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm
What you’ll need to succeed
We are looking for positive, enthusiastic, caring and focused individuals who are dedicated to becoming part of our team.
At least 6 months previous experience working with children/young adults/adults under the same setting
Full driving licence is desirable but not essential
What you’ll get in return
