Communications and Engagement Manager Part Time

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for an NHS organisation who are looking to appoint a Communications and Engagement Manager on a 12 month contract. The role will involve a hybrid working approach.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing the day-to-day communications and engagement function for the system-wide Digital programme;
• Leading the day-to-day Digital Communications and Engagement strategy, developing and delivering both high level and detailed action plans;
• Monitoring progress against metrics, providing analysis and reports, suggesting remedial action where appropriate;
• Building and maintaining public confidence in and awareness of system-wide working through effective media relations and relationship development and management;
• Developing positive working relationships with local NHS and partner organisations, ensuring a joined up and coherent approach to system-wide digital change;
• Providing communications, marketing, media and reputation management advice;
• Maintaining and developing relationships with media, patient groups and other key stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience in managing a communications and engagement function within the NHS;
• Extensive experience of working with the media;
• Experience of devising, implementing and evaluating effective communications and engagement strategies.
