Westcountry Case Management
Deputy Team Leader – Part Time
Maximising potential for over 20 years, Westcountry Case Management provides a specialist case management service that helps individuals recruit their own support workers. We were rated as Outstanding in our recent CQC inspection.
Our ambition is to inspire clients, their relatives and professionals alike by consistently attaining excellent outcomes; supporting people with compassion and kindness.
We’re now looking for a Deputy Team Leader to join us on a part-time basis and support the delivery of a first-class care service.
– Salary of up to £19.19 per hour
– Work directly for the end service user and not an agency
– Make a positive difference to someone’s life
– Statutory benefits and holiday
– Mileage allowance (25p per mile) to attend training
As the Deputy Team Leader, you will help to provide 24/7 care for our client, a lady in her mid-fifties.
Following an accident some years ago, our client acquired a brain injury and is a wheelchair user. She has a cat, has a flair for creativity and enjoys art. She lives in her own home in Eastleigh.
Your role will include hands-on care shifts, as well as supporting the Team Leader and deputising for them in their absence.
To be considered as a Deputy Team Leader, you’ll need:
– Previous care experience
– An NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification
– A full, valid driving licence
– To be tolerant of cats (as our client has a cat)
Due to the personal care nature of this role, only female applicants will be considered. This post is compliant with Paragraph 1, Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010 relating to Occupational Requirements.
IT skills would be beneficial to your application, as would access to your own vehicle (due to shift timings).
This is a part-time role, working 21 hours per week over a four week rota.
This position requires a fully enhanced disclosure request from the DBS. You will also be required to register with the DBS Update Service.
Please note, we reserve the right to interview and appoint earlier than the stated closing date, should there be a good response to the advert.
Due to the current climate, interviews will be held via Zoom/Skype/other such teleconferencing tools, therefore candidates MUST HAVE the ability to attend an interview via these methods.
Other organisations may call this role Senior Care Worker, Senior Carer, Senior Support Worker, Deputy Care Team Leader, Deputy Care Supervisor, Residential Care Team Leader, or Lead Care Worker.
