Fettler / Polisher Part Time

Key Recruitment Ltd are currently recruiting for a skilled fettler, polisher and grainer carrying out all finishing activities for a well established company based in Havant.

Your key deliverables:

• Ensure production targets are achieved by effective communication, motivation & discipline.
• Provide feedback to Production Manager & our supervision team to improve our processes & quality control.
• Ensure the correct quantity of parts are produced efficiently, to a high standard & within estimated times.
• Promote a safe working environment & ensure Health & Safety procedures are supported.
• to respect & adhere to our core values & rules of our organisation
• work with management & team to implement the company’s policies and goals
• to be able to read and understand engineering drawings
• weld & metal sanding to a high standard blending in all directions
• stainless steel graining & polishing
• deburring
• use of ancillary tools & machinery
• ensure that the production processes are cost effective & report time overruns
• promote the companies ‘Brand Promise’
• ensure our quality standards are being maintained in conjunction with Quality Manager

Core responsibilities:

• ensure work centres are operating efficiently
• ensure ‘Standard Operating Procedures’ are being followed
• ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed
• assist the production team to develop ideas to reduce waste & increase efficiency through continual improvement
• to be punctual and reliable
• any other duties as reasonably requested

Hours of work:

Monday-Thursday 07:30-16:30 and Friday 07:30-12:30

This will be a temporary to permanent role for the right candidate.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary contract, Temp to perm

Salary: £10.42-£11.50 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week
