Reporting to the Chairman, alongside the other Board members, your role as our Finance Director will be to shape and deliver the short term and long-term financial strategy of the organisation through sound financial infrastructure and balanced commercial decision making. The day-to-day duties will include overseeing a small but efficient financial team. Salary : £70,000 – £80,000 LOCATION: Northamptonshire COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Kettering, Northampton, Corby, Wellingborough, Rugby, The Company We have created a multimillion-pound business in the UK, and the US where we are the number one supplier in our sector. We are on an upward curve and have achieved 25% growth in the last few years and we now need an ambitious and driven Finance Director to join us and take control of our Finance strategy and monthly reporting. It is a full-time role based in the office in Northamptonshire. We are a very successful privately owned business that prides itself in delivering world class branded products. The mind-set of the leadership team is very entrepreneurial, and we welcome people that are driven, focused with bags of energy too! You need to make it happen and will be rewarded for it as we reward excellent performance. The successful candidate must have previous experience of managing an SME with a global reach and have M&A experience. If you have experience of US Trading that would be beneficial, above all you must be capable of creating very detailed reports budgets, cash flow & forecasts etc. Experience of the FINANCE DIRECTOR:Ideally, you will be working or will have worked within a standalone or private equity backed organisation, but we will consider candidates from divisional Finance Director roles if the sector experience is particularly relevant. The ideal sectors would include experience in the houseware, giftware or toy products or wholesale space but we are open to others.
As right hand to the Chairman and as a major player on the board, you will be responsible for setting and driving strategy as well as deliver robust and timely financial information to the business and external stakeholders and all management and statutory reporting for this private owned organisation – ultimately you will work with these stakeholders to lead the wholesale divestment of the organisation at some point in the future. You will be a qualified Accountant and probably already be working within a standalone manufacturing or wholesale / distribution business although we would consider manufacturing candidates with a blue-chip background who are looking for that first break into private equity. This exciting role is not for the stale, steady eddy type but aimed at a true entrepreneur that wants the excitement of being involved with something getting BIG and is prepared to make it happen and be supported by a £multimillion operation.
