Job Description
Fixed term contract until 31 March 2025 £37,336 to £39,186 per annum (Scale J) 37 hours per week County Hall, Norwich
This role is an opportunity to make a real difference by supporting the social care workforce in Norfolk.
The Funding and Planning Officer is a key role in the Care Market Workforce Team in Adults Social Services – a team which supports social care organisations and workforce members with recruitment, retention, training, and skill development.
The team will build on the success of Developing Skills in Health and Social Care and external workforce projects to address the priorities for the region’s care market workforce including reducing turnover rates and encouraging people to stay in the sector, increasing the appointment of care workers, nurses and registered managers, enhancing skills development opportunities and improving the quality of service provided for residents.
The Funding and Planning Officer has the responsibility to oversee the administrative and finance processes for the team; identify, scope, and apply for relevant funding to develop and enhance the team’s work; oversee the legal, partnership and data sharing agreements for the team; ensure impact tracking systems are in place for the team.
The Funding and Planning Officer will need good communication and presentation skills; demonstratable experience of financial management, budgeting, and reporting; demonstratable of experience of management of grant funds; knowledge and experience of the application of audit and control functions and good planning and organisation skills.
