About the role
As part of our exciting growth journey, we’re looking for a self-motivated, customer-centric, and committed individual to join us as our Head of Finance and Operations.
In this newly created role, you’ll play an invaluable part in driving the future success of Paycare.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you’ll become part of our dedicated executive leadership team – working together to steer the direction of the business and help to make a real difference.
You’ll oversee functions across our entire customer lifecycle, with direct management of our Policy Admin, Claims, Finance and Customer Service teams. Through this you will ensure that we deliver outstanding customer experience, whilst meeting quality standards, and continually work towards a more streamlined and efficient approach.
You’ll also have day-to-day responsibility for the organisation’s finance function including control and maintenance of our systems and procedures, the delivery of effective credit control and financial reporting requirements.

This is a full-time, permanent position, 35 hours per week Monday to Friday. The role is based on-site at our offices in Wolverhampton City Centre, so you should be based within a commutable distance of this location.
The role will be subject to a 6-month probationary period. As a regulated business, any offer of employment will be subject to satisfactory references and a DBS check.

About you

You’ll be a natural problem solver and decision maker, have strong organisational and leadership skills, and won’t be afraid to challenge the status quo and make tough decisions for the benefit of our customers, our teams, and our business.
As a qualified accountant, you’ll also have a solid understanding of operational management, strong experience of working with finance and CRM systems, and have proven success of building and developing effective relationships across all stakeholder groups.
