Role Profile

Our client, who are an exciting and growing FMCG business, are looking to recruit a dynamic and forward-thinking Head of Supply Chain & Procurement to be based out of their Head Office in London. Reporting into the Board, you’ll oversee a vlue-led team covering Supply Chain & Buying (direct & indirect) spanning both UK & Europe, whilst nurturing strong supplier relationships and upholding the company values. You’ll be based at Head Office 4 days per week with flexible start & finish times.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify relevant suppliers, negotiate prices, and ensure smooth delivery into distributors with a focus to optimise inventory & distribution.
• Manage buying and wider supply chain costs, identifying areas for reduction and analysing the impact of changes.
• Collaborate cross-departmentally to ensure buying is tailored to the needs of the customer, using data insights.
• Own, develop and implement sustainable procurement initiatives to enable the business to hit their commercial and sustainability targets.
• Conduct regular supplier reviews, evaluating performance and working together in partnership to improve.
• Provide strong leadership & guidance to the Supply Chain & Procurement team.
• Develop high quality and accurate forecasting & supply chain insight from the team.
• Effective supplier relationship management, ensuring strict adherence to agreed SLA’s.

Key Skills

• Experience working at a senior level across Supply Chain & Procurement, ideally within a Food/ FMCG background.
• Proven history of identifying and onboarding sustainable suppliers and working to business-wide sustainability targets.
• Excellent negotiation skills and commercial acumen.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to be hands-on where required, enjoying the opportunity to work & lead a small yet dynamic team.
• Excellent computer literacy including Microsoft Excel
• Organised with ability to multi-task.
