Housing Service Officer, full time in Sandwell. ASAP start £17.06 per hour

Due to the partnership between Hays and the Sandwell Council we are looking for a Housing Service Officer to join the Housing Management Team on a full-time temporary basis. Sandwell Housing Management Service has embarked on a transformation journey to refocus their resources on supporting our tenants to live and prosper in clean and safe neighbourhoods whilst prioritising guidance and support. Th position have come about due to a restructure within the team.
Your new role
As a Housing Service Officer you will support the Tenancy Managers to deliver a high quality, customer-focused service, leading on providing effective and timely response to a range of enquiries and complaints. You will also be responsible for managing a team of officers who will ensure that the day-to-day administrations of the functions are completed in line with the councils policies, procedures and performance targets. This role will require you to champion the voice of the customer and ensure that the service provides an innovative and supportive role to the customers whilst also supporting them with new ways of accessing the services.
This is a full-time position with an ASAP start and based in Sandwell.
What you’ll need to succeed
The ideal candidate should have experience within a similar role, excellent communication skills, strong ability to deal with complex issues, knowledge and experience of housing management functions as well as the ability to work in a demanding environment. Experience in managing/leading is highly beneficial for this role. Staff will be required to fill the full contractual period of 3 months with the possibility of extension.
