I am working with an SME organisation in Southampton who are looking for a Temporary HR & Finance Director to join our senior management team on a Temp – Temp to Perm basis.

You will be responsible for leading and overseeing the HR and Finance functions of our organisation, and ensuring that they support our strategic objectives and operational needs.

As a Temporary HR & Finance Director, you will:

  • Develop and implement HR and Finance strategies, policies, and processes that align with our vision, mission, and values, and comply with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Manage and develop the HR and Finance teams, and foster a culture of collaboration, performance, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to the CEO and the Board on all HR and Finance matters, such as talent management, employee engagement, compensation and benefits, budgeting and forecasting, financial reporting and analysis, risk management, and compliance.
  • Lead and support HR and Finance projects and initiatives, such as organisational change, mergers and acquisitions, system implementation, and process improvement.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as employees, managers, unions, auditors, regulators, and partners.
  • Be the lead for all Employee Relation cases

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent in HR, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in senior HR and Finance roles, preferably in a similar or related industry.
  • A proven track record of delivering HR and Finance solutions that add value to the business and the people.
  • A strong leadership and management skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • A strategic and analytical mindset, and the ability to solve complex problems and make sound decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to influence and negotiate with different levels and functions.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach, and the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
