Smurfit Kappa Machine Systems are experts in developing, producing and installing automated packing lines to deliver high levels of service to their customer base within Green and Industrial solutions.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental (HSQE) systems across the site with the support of the Leadership team, to drive and lead the implementation of the HSQE strategy ensuring and exceeding compliance with both legal, technical and Smurfit Kappa standards.

The HSQE Coordinator will have the ability to motivate, inspire, and engage the whole Machine Systems Team.

Key job requirements

• Hold a NEBOSH General certificate or be prepared to undertake this training in the first year of taking up post.
• Have a good understanding of the accreditations and policies required by Machine Systems.
• Have excellent communication and presentation skills – be able to coach & train others / be able to manage conflict.
• Experienced in conducting risk assessments.
• Experienced in developing safe system of work.
• Competent in MS Office Products.
• Good computer literacy Protean, software knowledge/skills preferable.
• Strong general business acumen, and knowledge of SK and the industry in general.
