Job title: Infrastructure Support Specialist II (Data Cabling Engineer)

Location: Yeovil

Salary: up to £30,385

This is a permanent, Full time position working 37.5 hours a week, Monday – Friday.

Due to secure nature of our client’s business, the successful candidate will need to either hold or be able to obtain SC security clearance. For this reason we are only able to progress with applications from British nationals.

As a Data Cabling Engineer you will be responsible for:
* Installing Cat5e/6/6A cable installation, terminations and testing
* The installation of single/multi-mode fibre cable, termination and testing, internal and external
* Installation of all forms of cable containment including cable basket/tray, metal and plastic trunking and conduit
* Installation of Wireless access points and networking hardware
* Following cabling drawings, patching schedules, risk and method statements
* Use of Fluke Versiv copper and fibre test equipment
* Fault investigation and repair

What we’re looking for:
* 5 years data cabling experience
* Conversant with JSP4800 cabling practices
* SSSTC would be an advantage
* ECS/CSCS card
* CNCI or C&G cabling qualifications
* IPAF 3a 3b certification
* PASMA certification

Full UK driving licence – due to the size of the client’s site, a driving licence will be required to transport parts around the site where needed,
