Business Product OwnerNottingham – HybridInitial 6 Month Contract£650pd inside IR35Purpose of the roleWhat does a Business Product Owner do?As a business product owner, you will represent the customer to our technology partners and internal IT and systems architecture teams.Responsibilities

• Capture customer and business requirements for solutions
• Prioritise requirements to ensure successful delivery
• Manage, assess, and approve the product backlog
• Present product backlog in team meetings
• Mitigate and resolve any conflicts to achieving sprint/release goals
• Translate customer need into user stories that can be actioned by our technology partners and colleagues,
• Align to our business goals and its systems architecture strategy.
• Represent the customer to the development team ensuring that the customer voice is present
• Share knowledge internally and externally and be the first point of contact for answering questions

What skills, qualifications and qualities do I need to be successful?

• Experience in agile methodology and ability to translate customer needs into user stories.
• Proven experience in product development (minimum 5+ years).
• In-depth knowledge of agile methodology for project management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively manage conflicting needs of stakeholders.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage a team (minimum 3+ years).
• Ability to manage requests and priorities, as well as setting and delivering to realistic deadlines.
• Excellent organisational skills with proven ability to manage competing priorities and a challenging workload in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to understand structures and business priorities and build credibility quickly.
• Resilient and solution-focused.
• Must be a team player with strong collaboration skills and a demonstrated ability to lead effectively across functions.
