IT Manager

Location: Sussex (On-site, No Hybrid Working)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and personable IT Manager to oversee and maintain the IT network across two UK locations. This role involves providing hands-on support to end-users, ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems, and actively participating in international IT projects. The ideal candidate should possess excellent IT knowledge, a positive attitude, and a willingness to engage in various IT-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Management:

• Manage and maintain the IT network infrastructure for two UK locations.
• Ensure the reliability and security of network systems and data.
• End-User Support:
• Provide technical support to end-users, addressing IT-related queries and issues.
• Set up new users, including hardware and software configurations.

International IT Projects:

• Collaborate with the overseas Head Office on international IT projects.
• Contribute to the planning, implementation, and execution of IT initiatives.

System Maintenance:

• Perform regular system updates, maintenance, and backups to ensure data integrity.
• Monitor system performance and address any issues promptly.

Security and Compliance:

• Implement and enforce IT security policies and protocols.
• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards.

Documentation:

• Maintain comprehensive IT documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and user guides.

Vendor Management:

• Liaise with IT vendors and service providers to resolve issues and manage contracts.

Budget Oversight:

• Assist in the development and management of the IT budget for the UK locations.

Team Collaboration:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business operations.
• Foster positive working relationships and provide IT guidance as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience in IT management and network administration.
• Strong knowledge of IT systems, hardware, and software.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and hands-on approach.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive attitude and a commitment to delivering exceptional IT services.
• Willingness to engage in both routine tasks and strategic IT projects.
• Previous experience with international IT projects is a plus.
• IT certifications and relevant qualifications are advantageous.
• Working Hours: Full-time, On-site in Sussex
