Your new company
Hays Technology are recruiting an experienced Software Developer to join a large public sector organisation in the Newcastle area. You will be reporting to the Head of IT Development and will work on a variety of integration and Cloud projects.
Your new role
In your new role, you will be responsible for supporting the IT development team by coordinating and contributing to the provision of professional support through the delivery of customer-focused outputs, whilst demonstrating good experience in designing and developing software applications, software solutions, and associated data platforms. You will develop and release software integrations which allow the management and provision of organisational data.
You will be working with third party suppliers to ensure high quality services, software, hosting, issues resolution, and reliable access to a specified date, whilst working closely with Digital Technology & Transformation, especially Development, Application Support, and the Architecture & Design teams, to ensure solutions are closely aligned to the IT strategy.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Excellent .NET and C# skills
- Client-side development skills including HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Ability to work as part of a team on design of components of a system
- Excellent data access and manipulation skills using frameworks and libraries
- Experience of developing applications and interfaces with Microsoft Azure
- Ideally full stack experience
- Good written and verbal communication skills
What you’ll get in return
This exciting position is paying between £39,000 and £46,000 negotiable on experience and offers an excellent work-life balance including: home working, 30 days annual leave, 18% employer contribution pension scheme, flexibility, training, and development opportunities.
