We are looking for a Lead Agile Delivery Manager with a programme and operational delivery focus to join our growing team of delivery specialists at the BBC.

Our delivery community is part of the BBC’s Product Group responsible for the design, development and delivery of the BBC’s diverse portfolio of digital products. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

As a Lead Delivery Manager – Programmes in the Delivery Operations team you will deliver cross Product Group programmes and initiatives.

You will do this by:

• Delivering successful outcomes at scale for multiple teams, services and products
• Role modelling, demonstrating and sharing knowledge of scaled agile delivery practices
• Maintaining delivery momentum and managing blockers, risks and impediments to progress for programmes of work at scale
• Ensuring work is visible, responsibilities are clear and there is an iterative plan to work towards
• Tracking and reporting on realisation of benefits at the right level of detail
• Identifying and bringing the right people together at the right time
• Clearly articulating value to the BBC, understanding the potential cost of delay, and using evidence to drive decisions on priority
• Improving our operational delivery processes across Product Group such as portfolio level planning, tooling and procurement

Are you the right candidate?

The successful candidate will:

• Have experience of delivering complex technical programmes at scale within an agile product delivery organisation
• Be able to demonstrate effective management of change and communication with senior stakeholders
• Have knowledge and experience of delivery practices and can represent and advocate for these practices inside and outside your team
• Lead effective supplier and contractor management within the constraints of the project
• Know how to monitor projected budgets against expenditure
• Communicate effectively, influence and build trust at all levels of the organisation
• Focus on the outcome, proactively challenging and seeking to improve processes of increasing complexity and scale
• Lead a continual planning process in a complex environment at scale
