When you join as a Lead Dimensional Engineer, you’ll be playing a pivotal role in the launch of Tata’s first premium electric vehicle. JLR has partnered with Tata Motors Limited (TML) to support the development for electric vehicles for the Tata Passenger Electric Mobility (TPEM) branch.
Using your developed skills in dimensional/ geometric maturation, you will lead and coach a small team of JLR & TPEM Dimensional Engineers. You will develop and launch TPEM Products into a premium automotive segment and will ensure dimensional feasibility is aligned with JLR Standards, allowing world-class Quality execution in the TPEM Facility.
This role will require extensive travel to India and an extended presence during the delivery phase of the programme.
In this role, you will also:
Manage technical issues, leading team with problem-solving and driving issue resolution.
Attend Programme Meetings at all levels, representing the department and presenting status.
Key accountabilities and responsibilities
Your role in the JLR Dimensional department will position you as the lead for all TPEM elements of Dimensional Quality, operating from the Design concept?through Job.? The Department?incorporates Product Maturation, DVA, Measurement, Metrology, Dimensional Media, and Dimensional Systems?Integration?teams.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Essential:
Experience working in a body in white, trim, or final environment.
Experience in dimensional/ geometric maturation (e.g. Tuning/ continuous improvement)
Experience with CAD (CATIA/ 3DExperience)
Experience in product launch phases (virtual and delivery)
