Job Purpose

To carry out routine maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical services equipment in customers’ homes and elsewhere in accordance with prescribed work schedules, Institute of Electrical Engineering (IEE) wiring regulations and to SNG established standard procedures set for delivery of exceptional customer service.

Qualifications required

• Technical understanding of electrical safety. Knowledge and understanding of currentelectrical regulations and related building regulations.• Can only work on their own in areas of proven competency. Areas of competency to bemonitored and reviewed by Qualified Technical Electrical Managers.• Electricians City & Guilds in Electrical Installation 2360 or City and Guilds 2368 ElectricalInstallation Level 3 or NVQ Electrical Installation Level 3.• City and Guilds 2381 Requirements for Electrical Installations Level 3 BS7671. ApprovedElectricians in addition to an Electrician they should also hold City & Guilds 2391 in testing.Lead Electrician should be at approved status for a minimum of one year.

As an Electrician with SNG, we’ll ask you to:

• Carry out routine testing of electrical services equipment and repairs in our residents’ homes as part of our Electrical Team
• Undergo responsive repairs and works within our planned teams in line with work schedules, Institute of Electrical Engineering (IEE) wiring regulations and to Sovereign’s established standard procedures.
• Estimate, requisition and recommend the acquisition of necessary materials and spares to ensure that appropriate satisfactory repairs and maintenance are carried out in accordance with IEE wiring regulations and Health and Safety at Work regulations.
• Apply your knowledge and skills to record and report on status and condition of electrical services equipment via periodic inspection sheets and minor works/installation certificates.

What else do you need to know?

• This is a full-time role, working 40 Hours per week, with the opportunity to supplement your salary through call out and overtime at competitive rates to enhance your earnings!
• Due to a requirement to travel within this role, candidates must hold a full and current driving licence with a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
