About The Lead Energy Market Analyst Role
As a Lead Energy Analyst with a focus on Power markets, you will become both a subject matter and a modelling expert in European energy markets. This is a role where you will have tremendous opportunity to develop your Energy Analyst capabilities working alongside some of the most experienced within the industry globally. Leveraging your energy market experience you will be working with an industry leading team, stakeholders and market participants to understand the use of fundamental models for energy markets decision making.
Key Responsibilities for the Lead Energy Market Analyst:
Lead knowledge finding workshops to determine customers desired goals and projects
Help develop innovative modelling approaches within the flagship optimization technology, to deliver upon customer needs
Help customers understand the model outcomes and how they can improve results through modifying the base data or modelling assumptions.
Provide consultation to energy customers as to how they can utilize the technology and software to facilitate strategic changes within their organisations.
Help the team drive industry thought leadership and promote the client brand: contribute to sponsored webinars, develop energy market studies etc.
About the Lead Energy Market Analyst
The ideal candidate will already have a strong background in energy market economics, wholesale market trends and key market drivers. Your understanding of how models can be used to support decision may have included such examples as:
Forecasting energy prices and cross border flows in short to long-term scenarios
Use of modelling to support strategic and/or investment decisions
Leveraging modelling to understand tighter integration between different energy sectors
Develop storage asset margin tracking (PPA, day ahead, balancing markets etc)
If you have knowledge of electricity markets or electrical systems planning and understand energy market supply and demand modelling then this could be a fantastic career opportunity.
