Licensed Animal Technician Part Time

We are recruiting a Licensed Animal Technician to join our client who is one of the world’s leading centres for biomedical research. They dedicate their research to study health problems such as cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and lots more. They are looking for a key individual to join their fast-growing team immediately on a temporary to permanent basis! We are offering a salary ranging from £25,000 to £38,000.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide daily care for laboratory animals, including feeding, watering, and observation of health and behaviour
• Perform routine health checks and administer medications as prescribed by veterinarians
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of animal care, health, and experimental procedures
• Collaborate with researchers to support and assist in experimental protocols
• Ensure compliance with ethical and regulatory standards governing the use of laboratory animals
• Participate in training programs for staff and researchers regarding animal handling and welfare
• Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to animal care

Job Requirements:

• Currently hold their Home Office License or have used this within 5 years
• Previous Animal Technician experience
• Previous experience in a Laboratory setting
• Experience with rodents
