Job title: Maintenance Assistant
Salary: £23,420.80 per annum
Location: Underley Gardens School, Kirkby Lonsdale
Hours: 40 hours per week; Monday to Friday, 8am – 4pm
Contract: Permanent; Full Time 52 weeks

Due to growth in service, we are recruiting a Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Underley Gardens School based in Kirkby Lonsdale.
Main Purpose of the Job
The post holder will:
- Work within the Maintenance team to maintain a high standard of the internal and external areas across the site and support the proactive management of the school’s estate.
- Ensure all stakeholders benefit from high standards of service.
- Work within the Maintenance team to provide the school with a safe environment for all people – pupils, staff, visitors and contractors.
Essential
- Previous experience of Maintenance work
- Good inter-personal skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable
- Experience of working within a care and educational setting
- Experience of working with listed buildings
- Experience of working within a Conservation Area
- Competent in the use of IT office skills

Underley Garden School is a large school with small class sizes, focusing on pupils and young people, aged 5-19, who have a range of complex needs associated with autism and learning disabilities, including complex communication, sensory and behavioural needs associated with their disabilities.
