The Centura Group is the holding company for several businesses supplying specialist construction services to the UK and international markets. Centura provides business support including Management, SHEQ, Finance, HR, and Training to the individual businesses.

As our Management Accountant you will assume responsibility for:

• Preparing and posting month end journals
• Assist in the production of the annual overheads budget
• Overheads variance analysis
• Assist in cash flow forecasting and preparation of cash outstanding reports
• Preparing and submission of statutory returns (VAT, VOA, ONS, GST, RCT)
• Assist with the preparation and management of the annual audit process
• Provide credit search reports analyse financial information for the commercial team
• Assist in operating and improving internal controls within finance
• Assist in preparation, review and analysis of the monthly management accounts for the Group Company, including profit and loss reports and balance sheet schedules, providing commentary and analysis
• Balance sheet reconciliation
• Support and collaborate with subcontract, purchase ledger and sales ledger team and ensure adequate cover is provided as when required
• Assisting the wider finance team with questions from other functions of the business as they are asked
• Provide support to the Corporate Team
• Carry out any other duties and ad-hoc projects as reasonably requested by the management team

Management Accountant What we need from you:

Qualifications and skills:

• Fully qualified CIMA or ACCA or QBE (Qualified by Experience)
• Proven experience in management accounting.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to changing priorities.
