Job Description:
We are currently looking for a talented and experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Poole. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design and development of innovative mechanical systems and components. The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to the design process, and ensure the successful implementation of projects from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of mechanical systems, components, and products
Utilize CAD software to create detailed designs and technical drawings
Conduct feasibility studies, analysis, and testing to validate design concepts
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones and objectives are met
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members
Perform risk assessments and quality checks to maintain design integrity
Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices in mechanical design
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer, preferably in a senior role
Strong proficiency in CAD software and engineering design tools
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team and lead design projects
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines
Salary: 40,000 – 50,000 per annum
Location: Poole (BH15 3TE)
