GSL Education seek an enthusiastic Music Teacher for a well-reputed school in Newcastle. The school is looking for someone who can start in January 2024. The successful candidate will be expected to work within the Creative and Performance Department in order to deliver high-quality music lessons to all pupils. The deserving candidate must have:

• A degree in Music with UK recognised teaching qualification e.g. a PGCE in secondary Music with QTS (Overseas trained and Music Instructors can apply)
• Relevant teaching experience in a UK school setting for Years 9 to 12 is required
• The ability to captivate and foster curiosity for the subject
• A commitment to pupil welfare
• A strong command of the curriculum and good behaviour management skills
• The ability to follow school policies, objectives and meet targets
• Possession of an enhanced DBS or willing to apply for one through GSL Education

Key Responsibilities: As an Music Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

1. Planning and delivering dynamic and engaging music lessons that encompass various artistic mediums and techniques.
2. Encouraging students to explore their creativity, develop their musical skills, and express themselves through music.
3. Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback to support their musical development.
4. Creating an inspiring and inclusive musical studio environment that promotes musical exploration and self-expression.
5. Collaborating with colleagues to enhance the music curriculum.
