You will work 37.5 hours a week alongside themultidisciplinary team at The Spinney, a service, which offers arange of care settings for men with personality disorder and/ormental illness. The purpose-built medium, low secure andrehabilitation wards, as well as a psychiatric intensive care unit(PICU) are all set within an 11-acre site with extensive woodlandand landscaped areas.

As an Occupational Therapist, you will manage a dedicatedcaseload, which will see you conduct occupational therapyassessments, treatments and evaluations for therapeuticinterventions, where you will identify individuals mental andphysical obstacles to their daily lifeskills.
Under supervision, you will beresponsible for planning and facilitating individual and groupsessions that promote patient-centred skills, confidence andrecovery. This may be linked to daily living activities, such asself-care, personal interests, cooking and basic educational needsand form part of their initial and ongoingassessment.

Yourresponsibilities:
Liaise with internal/external agencies toensure timely provision of patient services To organise, monitor and ensure an adequate supply ofstock/session materials Provide verbaland written feedback of interventional as required withindepartmental policies and procedures
To be successful in this role, you’llneed:
Diploma/Degree in OccupationalTherapy State Registration (HCPC) Understanding of forensic serviceusers’ needs Evidence of ability to research, plan, implement andevaluate a project for a specific patientgroup Experience of working with a similarcaseload Experience in providing Occupational Therapy assessmentand treatment What youwill get: Annual salary of £29,000 The equivalent of 33 days annualleave – plus your birthday off!
